31st January was a special day for the Diploma Programme at CI, as DP1 students organised and executed the event – TOK Day-2017, for MYP4 and MYP5 students. The thought-process behind shifting the focus from DP to MYP was to strengthen our students’ critical thinking  and giving them a platform to explore different perspectives.
The event began with MYP4 engaging in the “6 Thinking Hats” activity on a given situation. This was followed by showing them 6 movie clips, on which certain critical thinking questions were based. All the students of MYP4 were impressive in their involvement and sincerity.Similar activities were then conducted for MYP5 students, who performed and presented very capably.
All activities were planned, executed and guided by DP1 students, who did an admirable job, showing their TOK thinking and their imbibing of the IB Learner Profile.
CI is an IB World School that has a successful IB Continuum (PYP>MYP>DP). Such events, wherein learning of one programme can be shared with another to enhance the teaching-learning experience, strengthen the continuum and fortify the IB ideology.
It was a successful event that fired up the DP1 students to work hard for their coming events as well.
