Choithram International delegation of 8 students participated in the 43rdpremiere Yale Model United Nations Conference, committed to provide high school students from across the globe with an unparalleled debating experience. The conference was organized between 19th and 22nd January,2017 in the Yale University Campus at New Haven, Connecticut facilitated by Muncafe team. The highly interactive and outstanding debating for four days was invigorating with participation of 1200+ delegates from different parts of the world. The discussion was based on world agendas like improving women’s reproductive rights, situation in Kashmir, The Illicit Sale and Use of Legal Drugs, Tax Avoidance and the World of Dark Money and many others.
The CI delegation also visited the 9/11 memorial which brought tears to the eyes. Along with all the fun, tonnes of knowledge was gained from visit to the United Nations Headquarters , the United States Mission to the United Nations and the International Peace Institute. Also the delegation met a few officials and diplomats who enlightened about how world peace is regulated.
It is a matter of immense pride that Baani Pasrija a student of Grade 9 of Choithram International Grade 9 bagged the Outstanding Delegate Award and Sujay Jain of Grade 9 received the Verbal Mention award.
The achievements of the students have added to the crowning glory of Choithram International. Congratulations to the participants and winners for their astounding success!!!
