Testimonials

I am Aleesha Bhave, presently a student of DP 2. For me, the MYP Personal Project was a truly enriching experience. It provides the students an opportunity to apply the skills they have developed throughout their years in MYP while giving them a chance to explore a topic that they are passionate about. The personal project allowed me to take ownership of my learning and develop a sense of independence and self-motivation that I know will serve me well in the future. The project's inquiry-based approach encouraged me to think critically, research extensively, and problem-solve creatively. These skills have not only been beneficial in my academic pursuits such as Extended Essay and Internal Assessments but have also translated into everyday life. I find myself approaching challenges with a more open and analytical mindset. Moreover, the personal project taught me the importance of time management, organization, and effective communication. I had to plan and execute every aspect of my project, from setting goals to presenting my product. Furthermore, the personal project fostered a sense of responsibility and empathy. It encouraged me to consider the broader impact of my actions on the community and the environment. This heightened awareness has motivated me to become a more socially responsible and environmentally conscious individual. Lastly, I am grateful for the opportunity to undertake this project, and I believe it has prepared me well for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in my educational and personal development.

Personal Project – A golden opportunity
The Personal project that I did in MYP 5, was a challenging but rewarding experience. It was challenging because it required me to be independent and self-directed, and to manage my time effectively. However, it was also rewarding because I learned a lot about myself and my interest, and I gained valuable skills such as research skills: as I learned how to conduct effective research, evaluate resources, and synthesise information, writing skills: I improved my writing skills, including my ability to write clearly, concisely, and persuasively that I will use throughout my life. Specifically for my personal project on "making a website on career choices for students", I learned a lot about the different career options available to students, and I was able to share this information with other students. I also learned about the importance of research and communication, and I developed my skills in these areas. I am confident that the website that I created will be a valuable resource for students who are looking for information about career choices. The personal project helped me to develop a lifelong learning mindset, as it taught me that I am never too old to learn something new. I learned that I can learn by doing, and that I can learn from my mistakes. The personal project has had a positive impact on my life and will continue to be useful in the future. The skills and knowledge that I gained through the project will help me in my academic studies, my future career, and my personal life. I am confident that I will be able to use the skills and knowledge that I gained through the personal project to make a positive impact on the world.

Working on the Personal Project was a great learning experience for me, the undersigned. It allowed me to explore my personal interests and helped me find a way to make them useful for my future. I had gone through different subject areas to narrow down topics that interest me, and after a lot of brainstorming, I decided to base my Personal Project on the topic "Sustainable Agriculture" where I also talked about an element of "cybersecurity" in agriculture. This was perfect for me as it involved a lot of subjects that I like - sciences, economics, ICT, etc. I created a website and a Public Service Announcement (PSA) as my product for the Personal Project. As someone who aspires to work in the IT field, this topic allowed me to understand a less-known use of cybersecurity that can potentially help me a lot in my career. The main reason I enjoyed my journey of Personal Project is its purpose, which is to give students an opportunity to create something they like, something that is "personal" to them. With the guidance of my mentor Ms. Akanksha Rai and the PP Coordinator Ms. Meghna Dhere, I had successfully completed my Personal Project and achieved a Grade 7.
